Tuesday, April 26, 2005 -  MCR Duratec Sports 2000
Silverstone GP saw the first appearance of the MCR Duratec Sports 2000 piloted by Matt Manderson. Finishing 4th Matt was pleased with the result as the car has had no development work and only turned its wheels for the first time the day before. Matt is confidant the car will be on the pace by the next round at Donington on May 22nd. The car looked superb and definitely looked like a smaller version of a Sports prototype/LMP2 car. We will have more details and pics on this site shortly.

Monday, January 17, 2005 -  Panic in Kit Form
We are about to launch our first sports car (in kit form), the “Panic”. The idea of KIT FORM is to save Thousands of £’s on a new car. Although designed initially for Sports 2000, due to a more commercially viable market in “track days”, we chose to explore this area first; therefore, the Panic was modified to accept a much cheaper source of power, the Suzuki Hyabusa. Regardless of what power source is used, a high quality, fully comprehensive kit will be available for around £14k vat! Only the Gear Box and Engine c/w all its ancillaries will be needed to complete the car, making it the first BRAND NEW Duratec powered S2000, that costs less that an all up total of around £23k vat!!!!!!!! At this point it may be a good idea to point out that we commissioned Howard Drake, boss of Laser Formula Ford & Elden Race Cars for a short while, to design the PANIC. With over 35 years of designing, building, racing and setting up racecars, Howard is now heading our development programme. All the major Sports Car Manufactures know Howard personally and still have a very high regard for his abilities & contributions to motor sport. Despite my keen interest in the Sports 2000 series over the past year, and having talked recently to Colin Feyerabend, we would very much like to progress our original intentions within Sports 2000 and hear from anyone who may be interested in the Panic. Please contact me, Gary Schoultz directly on 01322-225376, furthermore, please visit our web site: www.panicmotorsport.com . (Read More...)
